Dr David Kilpatrick is a psychologist and academic wrote a book last year that is having a lasting effect on all our students.

It’s called Equipped for Reading Success, and is one of the most useful books we have ever used.

Not only does it contain four comprehensive PA tests (which you can download for free at Dr Kilpatrick’s site through the links below), but it contains immediate lessons designed to raise student ability in all of the given phonological awareness subsets.

The children love to do the ‘one minute exercises’ contained in the book, and doing them requires very little expertise, so parents and assistants can be recruited to do these highly valuable, highly effective exercises and get children’s PA soaring.
